In the week directly following the PULS/RKCM-2018 Conference, i.e. 10-14 September 2018, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will hold a satellite event:

Workshop on Basics of Radiation Chemistry and Technology of Polymers.

The objective of this workshop is to provide a brief, comprehensive training to both newcomers/beginners and those who need to supplement, upgrade or refresh their knowledge and skills in radiation chemistry and radiation processing of polymers. The course will consist of lectures, exercises on planning, calculations and data assessment, as well as laboratory exercises providing hands-on training on selected aspects of radiation equipment, dosimetry and radiation processing of polymers. The detailed program will be available soon.

The workshop will take place at the premises of the Institute of Applied Radiation Chemistry, Lodz University of Technology, 15 Wroblewskiego street, Lodz, Poland, which is close to the PULS/RKCM-2018 conference site.

The number of participants is limited to 20. The application process and qualification of participants is handled by IAEA. Attendance is free for accepted participants. Inquiries regarding participation conditions, qualification and IAEA support, as well as applications should be directed to:
